Doug Chapman, better known as Mr. Yellow Jacket, has been a fixture on the sidelines of Fort Mill home football games for 59 seasons as a member of the chain crew as well as the baseball teams bookkeeper for 24 seasons. He has worked close to 550 games, if not more, from the sidelines.
Doug, who is now 82, graduated from Fort Mill High School in 1961 and has been involved in Fort Mill Athletics ever since.
He was recently honored before the Catawba Ridge-Fort Mill Baseball match-up on March 13th with a special letterman jacket that has the year he graduated as well as a baseball/football patch, the old Fort Mill Yellow Jackets logo, and Fort Mill letter logo.
