Spotlight Stories
Our state championship match came down to the last weight class…the 14th match. Coach Brock’s son, Caleb Brock, bumped up from 145 to 152 weight class to “seal the deal.” He did an incredible job by wrestling well and determined. Although he lost, he did not allow any additional or bonus points to be earned by the Summerville wrestler or team.
Alumni Stories
We’ve had many. Most recently, AJ Leitten graduated from NC State University. He was a team captain there and ranked top 20 in the country.
AD Spotlight
Coach Dwayne Hartsoe provides 100% support for all of our sports and teams at Fort Mill High. He supports each coach with travel, purchases, ideas and plans for each program.
Coach Spotlight
Coach Brock is a team leader of our young athletes. He has always been commited to making our athletes “champions” in life. We are blessed to have him leading our wrestling program. Coach Ed Doran and Coach Adam Marullo sacrifice their time and are committed to our wrestling program. Doran 20 years & Marullo 18 years.

Men's Basketball
Catawba Ridge
Catawba Ridge’s Mens Basketball Team advanced to the third round of the 4A state championships defeating Riverside 64-55 and North Augusta 56-49 before falling to Greenville.
Fort Mill
Fort Mill’s Mens Basketball Team advanced to the third round of the 5A state championships defeating Spring Valley 57-55 and Hillcrest 59-40 before falling to eventual 5A Champs, Dorman.
Nations Ford
Nation Ford’s Mens Basketball Team represented FMSD in the 5A state championships with a challenging 1st round game versus the eventual 5A Champs, Dorman.Â
Women's Basketball
All FMSD’s Womens Basketball teams played in the state championships with Catawba Ridge representing in the 4A championships versus Eastside. In the 5A Championships, Fort Mill had a first round game against Spring Valley and Nation Ford faced off against Dorman.
Wrestling
Men's Wrestling
Fort Mill won the 5A state dual wrestling championship 34-32 over the Summerville Greenwave. Fort Mill finished their historic season 27-1 on the year and gave the school their 30th state team title in the athletic department.Â
Cheer
5A Competitive Cheer
Fort Mill and Nation Ford both finished in the top ten of the 5A Competitive Cheer State Championships. Fort Mill finished 6th with a score of 303.5 and Nation Ford finished 9th, scoring 287.5 points.
4A Competitive Cheer
Catawba Ridge’s competitive cheer squad captured a top three finish in the 4A State Competition, finishing just a half point behind 2nd place, Lucy Beckham.
